Ein neues Gipfeltreffen der OSZE-Staaten 2025

1975 verabschiedete die "Konferenz für Sicherheit und Zusammenarbeit in Europa" (KSZE) ihre Schlussakte von Helsinki. Sie trug mit zu den Ereignissen bei, die den Kalten Krieg beendeten. Im Jahr 2025 wird es 50 Jahre her sein, dass die Schlussakte der KSZE unterzeichnet wurde. Aus diesem Grund hatte der finnische Präsident Sauli Niinistö im Geiste dieser Konferenz ein neues Gipfeltreffen zwischen den Großmächten vorgeschlagen. Mehr als 130 Friedens- und Umweltorganisationen aus den nordischen Ländern und allen anderen Ostsee-Anrainerstaaten haben sich dazu vor einem Jahr mit einem Offenen Brief zu Wort gemeldet. Die Unterzeichnenden unterstützen den Vorschlag des finnischen Präsidenten Sauli Niinistö, ein neues Gipfeltreffen der Großmächte einzuberufen um die aufgerührten Gemüter zu beruhigen. Finnland könne dabei eine Mittlerrolle einnehmen.

In der jetzigen aktuellen Situation wurde die Initiative mit einem Brief vom 29. April 2022 an den Präsidenten, die Regierung und das Parlament von Finnland über einen neuen OSZE-Gipfel im Jahr 2025 erneuert, mit der Bitte dass Finnland (und auch Schweden) keinen NATO-Mitgliedschaftsantrag stellen sollten, bevor eine solche Konferenz stattgefunden hat. Dieser Brief wurde von über 90 Vertreter:innen von Nichtregierungsorganisationen - darunter auch Lebenshaus Schwäbische Alb e.V. - sowie einzelnen Personen unterzeichnet, die das Anliegen unterstützen.

In der jetzt erneuerten Initiative heißt es jetzt abschließend: "Angesichts der äußerst angespannten und gefährlichen Situation, die wir heute in der Ukraine und in den Beziehungen zwischen USA/NATO/Europa und Russland erleben, ist die dringende Notwendigkeit eines neuen OSZE-Gipfels größer denn je. Menschen, die sich in Zeiten weltweit wachsender sozialer Ungerechtigkeit, des Klimawandels und klimabedingter Katastrophen für den Frieden und das Überleben unseres Planeten einsetzen, brauchen dringend starke Signale der politischen Elite, dass unsere Ängste und Hoffnungen ernst genommen werden."

Re: OSZE-Gipfel 2025

Im März 2021 haben Sie, Herr Präsident, die bemerkenswerte Initiative für einen neuen OSZE-Gipfel im Jahr 2025 gemacht. Sie haben auch das großzügige Angebot gemacht, den Gipfel zu Ehren des historischen Gipfels vor 50 Jahren in Helsinki abzuhalten. Sie erklärten auch, dass die Initiative von Washington, Moskau und Berlin unterstützt worden sei.

Ihre Initiative wurde auch von über 130 Vertretern von Nichtregierungsorganisationen in den Nordischen Ländern und im Ostseeraum unterstützt.

Angesichts der äußerst angespannten und gefährlichen Situation, die wir heute in der Ukraine und in den Beziehungen zwischen USA/NATO/Europa und Russland erleben, ist die dringende Notwendigkeit eines neuen OSZE-Gipfels größer denn je.

Finnland - wie auch Schweden - spielt traditionell eine starke Rolle als Förderer von Frieden, Dialog und Verständigung. Diese Rolle muss aufrechterhalten und gestärkt werden. Die Notwendigkeit respektierter allianzfreier Staaten als Vermittler ist dringend. Daher hoffen wir aufrichtig, dass Finnland - ebenso wie Schweden - nicht alle Menschen, die sich weltweit für Frieden und Verständigung vereinen, durch den NATO-Beitritt im Stich lässt, bevor das Ergebnis eines neuen OSZE-Gipfels im Geiste von 1975 feststeht.

Wir, 8 prominente internationale und 66 nationale Organisationen aus Europa und OSZE-Mitgliedsstaaten sowie rund 20 einzelne Unterstützer, fordern Sie nun dringend auf, Herr Präsident, Ihr Möglichstes zu tun, um Ihrer Verpflichtung nachzukommen, einen neuen OSZE-Gipfel im Jahr 2025 zu organisieren, einen Gipfel, auf dem eine echte Sicherheitsagenda für ganz Europa. die auch die Bedürfnisse und Wünsche Russlands respektiert, diskutiert und verwirklicht wird.

Menschen, die sich in Zeiten weltweit wachsender sozialer Ungerechtigkeit, des Klimawandels und klimabedingter Katastrophen für den Frieden und das Überleben unseres Planeten einsetzen, brauchen dringend starke Signale der politischen Elite, dass unsere Ängste und Hoffnungen ernst genommen werden.
